  If you sign up 499 new subscribers your total is still at 500, so the lost customers don't show up in the numbers. But these are all new customers, lacking any history or commitment to you.
  

  You make an apt point. Most of his patrons 2021 and prior have fled him. Probably 3/4ths at least. Most of his current support consists of people who have just joined and are seeing the current output of LE, not the one who was on Leah Remini and the go-to EXJW source in the news media. They are seeing this pathetic middle aged man dye his hair and do standup about wanking. They hear about unspecified “defamation” and how he’s always needing more money to make his videos. Then he gets routinely outperformed by other exJW YTers.

  Cycling customers like this is a sign of a business in trouble. You want repeat business, if you can't keep customers coming back, your problems will eventually sink your business.

  This is why many of us here on this thread and elsewhere have stated that this is unsustainable. The begging stunt only masked a deeper problem with his business model, and that was one of retention. That video was very manipulative and full of false information. He claimed “the defamation has failed” before contradicting himself by saying it has caused a lot of his financial support to dry up.
  

  This is the reason why Lloyd is dead set on scaring people into being silent about him by threatening legal actions. I cannot stress this enough: that was a huge and unforced blunder. He has mismanaged this crisis from the beginning by not addressing the problem and attacking all those who offer critiques of him. He’ll never get it right. He’s a narcissist and a bully who is going down fighting. There was never going to be an instance where he sat down, acknowledged the concerns and offered to make real changes. People are lured back in by offering them your hand, not the middle finger. He missed that boat anyway and people are finding out how much of an angry and bitter man he is. People are finding out that this is all about the money for him and he’s not lifting a finger he doesn’t have to if not compensated to the level he thinks he’s entitled to.

  OK, let’s hammer out the rules. Toblerone5 is French Canadian, so Québec is EST or UTC -5. So let’s set it there so as not to impose unfair reporting times on the organiser.

  When the 2nd of the month falls on a weekend we wait until Monday at 12 noon (EST) for the final number. This allows for the ones who did not mean to drop to rejoin as is often common.

  For weekdays we wait until the 2nd of the month (if it falls on a weekday) at 9 PM EST.

  I suspect this is his medium term plan: to stop making videos altogether but leave old videos up and keep collecting donations from whoever is stupid enough to keep sending him money

  This has been his plan and he has stated that he eyes some sort of activist emeritus position. A few years back he made this huge ceremony about handing off JW Survey to Covert Fade/Daniel Walker and Mark O’Donnell in the hopes they would run the site for him whilst he collected the revenue. It didn’t work, CF quit and by the time he jumped back on, the website was dead.

  As these past three months have proven, Jabba the Hutt needs to be front and centre in all this and perform pony tricks to kick start the grift. He’s losing patrons at his current level of production. If he goes down further he loses the narrative completely and others can and will overtake him. It can be argued that a few already have. He likely wants someone to take over for him on the “Lloyd Evans Channel” on a salary, where he gets to keep most the money for doing nothing.

  He *might* be able to have this grift fund him until death, but he’s putting out content until he drops. There’s no pension with this and that’s why he’s so sore he got exposed because at the rate he was funding, he had enough to start putting aside for that purpose.

  I hope that heart disease, colon cancer or HIV doesn’t overtake him for the sole reason of being able to watch a 70 something year old Lloyd Evans making his 57th begging video, complaining that he needs heart surgery and might have to go into hospice care if donations don’t improve.

  That begging stunt may have done wonders for his short term finances and puffed him up with pride, but long term it makes him look like one stupid ass bitch.

  He’s already lost nearly 100 of his new recruits. This is after pulling out all stops and playing the last card he had. Still didn’t work. By the end of the summer he’ll have lost most of his bump. He can make another begging video but his viewers and supporters are going to wonder why he keeps bleeding support. What’s the defamation about and why does it seem to keep working if none of it is true?

  You see he can never go back to the gallant family man persona that he had carefully and fraudulently crafted, who’s putting all his energies and focus into taking down WT. He’s no longer taking selfies with Leah Remini. He sold himself like a cheap prostitute in the seediest New Orleans whorehouse.

  He’s not taken seriously anymore. He’s a middle-aged man with bitch tits who’s always whining about money, yet expending little energy and more importantly, content. Watching Lloyd Evans is the equivalent of masturbation. A quick dopamine hit for the few who can stand him, then they just want to roll over and sleep.

  Newer generations of JWs are coming out and his show is not the only one in town as it was before. O’Donnell has his own gig now which draws a portion of the would-be donors away. People who had some sort of nostalgia for the old JW Watch/Survey days can get their fix with his reports and won’t have to look at Lloyd’s ugly and bloated face. Younger (and perhaps more importantly, men who do not have to pay for sex) YTers like Wally, Jake and Caleb are reaching the younger crowd and can connect with them in ways a funny looking middle aged low-life like Lloyd cannot. Lloyd talks down to his audience like a professor and one gets the feeling they just watched an instructional video.

  What is painfully obvious is that none of these other people are threatening to quit if donations don’t improve. Lloyd stands out in this regard.

  His reputation is fucked. He can prime his Patreon like some imported penis pump but it always goes back down to its natural and flaccid state. Mrs Evans probably knows this all too well.

  It’s an end of month cycle. Call it the Evanstruation cycle, always hits on the first. It’s more than spotting this month, it’s the tampon + pad variety.

  Even if he gains a few back, it’s still going to be over 20 losses. The Patreon spike being unsustainable argument has been supported by three straight 20+ drops since the begging stunt happened in April.

  Fuck…. Now Simon stands to win. I really thought I’d be the first Patreoff champion. Oh well. Looks like most of us underestimated the fragility of his support.

  Still curious what he'll do now that he's hovering around that magic "500 or I close shop" number again.

  He also has the YT channel subscriptions. On his begging videos he’s made it clear he needs 500 combined from both and I believe the last time he announced numbers YT was at over 100 (this would be early April). YT probably has had similar proportional drops and might be under 100 by now.

  If so, that would put him well below the 620 mark he claimed he needed met in order to “grow the channel”.

  Even at 620 and over, he certainly made no attempt to “grow the channel” and if anything his productivity dove since he got his Patreon bubble. He also claimed he had great “plans” this year for the channel if he could reach 620, but unless you consider him making the same videos as before “great plans” then you were misled and ripped off.

  Now if called on that promise he can turn to his followers and say he’s fallen below 620 and can’t grow the channel. See how that works?

  If he’s still doing standup, it’ll be interesting to see which parts he drops or if he’s stubborn enough to recycle the same lame jokes. He has gotten absolutely roasted here and on other media for spending more than a few minutes on masturbation. And the whole “Zagreb is turning into a mall and I hate some stores” along with the dildo joke about the Queen were ill prepared.

  I personally hope he does continue with the stand-up. Along with being entertaining with regards to the cringe factor, it’s getting him nowhere and if it’s to pick up women, this is a bit TMI. I can’t see any lady in the audience coming away from this like “oh I have to meet this guy.” Like with everything else in his life, particularly the livestream, he has no self awareness and cannot read the room. The biggest applause lines came when he announced he was an atheist and formerly a JW. And he completely lost the room once he launched into his sexual repression/masturbation rant at the end.

  He’s at 526 now BTW. Patreon is headquartered in San Francisco and it’s still June there.
